The renovation work announced following the acquisition of Riverside Shopping Centre is nearing completion. The revamped complex in Rivière du Rempart is looking forward to welcoming shoppers back from December 2019.
The larger part of the work has already been undertaken on this Rs 120m project entrusted to Manser Saxon Contracting Ltd as main contractor.
The redeveloped centre will provide additional floor area for the anchor supermarket, will introduce Jetha Tulsidas a new sub-anchor tenant and will boast a new food court with a more diverse offer. “Generally, the whole tenant mix and the overall layout have been reviewed to improve the quality, customer experience and attractiveness of the shopping centre,” says the Asset Manager of Bloomage, Selvin Mootoosawmy.
Riverside Shopping Centre provides tremendous potential for tenants with an immediate catchment population of over 100,000 from Rivière du Rempart and the surrounding villages, from Flacq to Goodlands through Roches Noires and Poste Lafayette.
